Please read this example of a fraud by phone scam that someone has received.

I had a notification on my phone about 11:20 to say that Amazon will deliver (an expected item) between 11:30am and 1:45pm.
This was quickly followed by a text message:

Burglaries Berkeley/Sharpness Area

There have been 4 recent burglaries in the area all having taken place between the 4th & 8th January 2023.

Our first victim in the Stone area returned home from work where a rear door had been smashed to gain entry to the property around £400 in cash was stolen.
